Hello!

I'm a Toronto-based business reporter and editor with experience covering work and labour, mining, technology, and institutional and personal finance. My work has appeared in the Globe and Mail, Canadian Business, TVO, Toronto Life, BetaKit and The Logic, among others. Before I went freelance, I was a staff reporter at the Financial Post. My other previous stops include editing roles at Benefits Canada and CIM Magazine.

In 2022, I won a gold NMA-B2B award for my CIM Magazine feature tracing the diverging futures of metallurgical and thermal coal. I've also received a silver NMA-B2B award and a silver SABEW Canada Best in Business award in 2020, both for trade feature reporting. In 2013, I worked on a joint TMU School of Journalism/Toronto Star investigation into kitchen safety and inspection disclosure in institutions that care for vulnerable citizens, which inspired changes in Toronto Public Health’s disclosure policy and was nominated for a CAJ award.
